My Philosophy

There is a way of being that doesn’t rely on outside direction.

It begins within—through sensation, intuition, and presence—and unfolds as you learn to trust and embody your own inner guidance.

Inner Wayfinding

a way of being

Wayfinding is the practice of navigating the inner world. Traditionally, it describes how we orient ourselves in the external environment—reading wind, currents, constellations, and terrain. In my work, we bring this concept inward: noticing the subtle signals of body, sensation, intuition, and lived experience as our guides.

We all have the capacity to attune to these signals and honor our unique ability to re-orient. Your map emerges through your attentive noticing of what is already known within you. It is an embodied resonance that doesn’t rely on directions created by others. You have the innate ability to navigate your own way.

Developing this awareness is a gentle practice of inner navigation between attention, intuition, sensation, and presence. It becomes an orientation system, guiding you toward self-discovery as you notice subtle shifts within, just as you may observe the tides, movements of light and shadow, and the quiet guidance of stars. Through awareness of body, thought, and feeling, we cultivate tools that support choice, clarity, and life direction.

Movement and the arts are central pathways for developing this inner guidance. They open doors to insight, joy, and authenticity, inviting trust in your innate capacity to perceive and respond. Aligning with this core self, you follow your inner beacons, explore the landscapes you traverse, and embrace the directions that call to you.

Embodiment

Embodiment is the practice of being fully present, aware, and deeply attuned to the body’s inner and outer landscapes of sensation and knowing. It is discovered through listening, often preverbal, woven from subtle signals and nuanced feelings. Embodiment becomes a doorway to self-authority and understanding.

At first, it may feel elusive, like an unseen current just beneath the surface, asking us to trust what cannot always be named. The hunch. The whisper. The felt sense.  To live this way is to honor tender stirrings and urgent calls. This kind of living is layered, vast in its knowing, and infinitely creative in its unfolding.

In essence, embodiment is the art of wayfinding — navigating life through the body’s wisdom, the conscious awareness, and the trust in your own inner compass.

Embody your knowing — it is the truest form of navigation.
