Intuition, imagination, and insight are not abstract ideas. They guide choices, direct your path, and reveal what feels true.
Movement and creativity have shaped my life for as long as I can remember.
I am deeply attuned to the rhythms of the natural world—sea, sky, and stone—and move through life with my senses wide open. This attentiveness informs how I move, listen, and create. Texture, sound, color and gesture continually spark insight and reflection. The outer landscape mirrors the inner one.
Over time, I began to notice that the body holds extraordinary intelligence and that clarity often arrives through sensation before language. This awareness became the foundation of my work.
Being With & The Practice of Presence
I am passionate about guiding others to imagine and discover the steps toward the futures they desire. My work blends the transformative qualities of mindful movement, expressive arts, and creative consulting to support connection, and authenticity.
I facilitate movement classes rooted in The Nia Technique, a holistic practice that integrates elements of the healing arts, dance, and martial arts with eclectic, soul-stirring music. Nia is mindful, joyful, and adaptable, meeting the unique needs of your body in each moment.
For me, movement is a way to explore the body’s wisdom. Sensation guides as its language, emotions find expression, and the mind opens to possibility. Movement awakens vitality and restores trust in our pathway to living fully in our artful lives.
Movement, Art & The Creative Process
Through movement and expressive arts, I guide people along paths of discovery that invite perspective, deepen understanding, and spark playful exploration. I create warm, compassionate spaces where curiosity and self-expression can unfold naturally.
My creative practice spans visual arts—painting, mixed media, collage, book and journal-making, fiber arts, clay, and installations—as well as music, poetry, and writing. These practices mirror our inner worlds, inviting curiosity, reflection and reverence for the beauty of the experience.
Art making, like movement, is a way of listening. It offers another language for understanding what we feel, sense, and imagine.
Creative Consulting & Collaboration
I partner with individuals and organizations to bring ideas into meaningful form. Together we develop authentic coherence. My work includes curriculum design, vision refinement, strategic planning, resource research, and thoughtful collaboration.
Whether one-on-one or in team settings, my approach is grounded in curiosity, listening, and respect for the creative process. I help clients bring ideas to life in ways that feel intentional, aligned, and human-centered.
You already carry the wisdom you seek.
My Path & Background
I am a Certified Second Degree Nia Black Belt teacher and have been sharing the Nia Technique since 1998. I am also certified in Nia Floor Play, Five Stages, and Moving to Heal.
My movement journey began in my teenage years during a time when I was seeking a deeper sense of connection and presence. Through Hatha and Kundalini Yoga, I discovered the union of body and mind as a pathway to wholeness, ease, and embodied awareness.
I draw inspiration and creative grounding from studies in Ageless Grace, Conscious Movement Practices, Music, and Mixed Media art techniques. I am also certified in Nutrition and trained as a Birth Assistant, reflecting my interest in supporting wellness and embodiment across all stages of life.
My education includes a BA in Cultural Anthropology and Psychology from Skidmore College, advanced training in Expressive Arts, and completed programs in Mindfulness and Self-Compassion. These experiences inform both my teaching and my personal philosophy.
I am not here to tell you who to be or how to move forward. I am here to hold space, offer guidance, and walk alongside you as you listen for what already lives within you.
You are welcome here.
Your body already knows the way.
